Resolving product liability lawsuits in Illinois

Any manufacturer responsible for making and selling dangerous or defective products may be sued for product liability, as provided by Illinois law. Products liability lawsuits are based on the common law principle of negligence under tort law. This law requires every manufacturer or distributor of goods to be careful and vigilant regarding the quality of the products and commodities they distribute or market and sell to consumers.

Oversight departments may help prevent medical malpractice

Medical malpractice leads to serious injuries for more than one million patients in the United States each year. It has also been reported by the authorities that more than 7,000 individuals died as a result of medication errors and another 12,000 died from unnecessary operations.

Illinois highway crash kills one, injures two others

Car accidents cause serious injuries to those involved and many victims are minor children or older citizens. Victims often suffer traumatic injury to the brain and neck including fractures and external bleeding and internal hemorrhaging. Car accidents can also be cataclysmic for the victim's family who must absorb the financial and emotional consequences, such as exorbitant medical bills and helping the victim through long-term medical treatment due to disability. Some victims die due to injuries suffered despite getting medical care and attention.

Resolving workers' compensation claims for back injuries

One of the most common types of injuries Illinois workers suffer on the job is a back injury. These can stem from many different causes. They can occur suddenly, as when a warehouse worker is injured while trying to lift something heavy, or they can occur over time, as when a nurse has to repeatedly bend to help patients. And of course, any type of worker can suffer a back injury in a vehicle crash or slip and fall accident.
