Dangerous product recalled to avoid injuries

Individuals across Illinois enjoy many manufactured products. Whether these products are some sort of consumer good or food product, many are enjoyed on a daily basis. These consumer products help to make individuals lives easier and better. However, individuals assume that these products are safe for them to use. People place their trust in manufacturers when comes to consumer products.

This trust is often misplaced. Manufacturers of consumer goods can easily be negligent in making products that reach the consumer market. Often, many of the products that make it to store shelves can be dangerous for Illinois residents.

A product recall has recently highlighted the dangers that a product can cause to individuals in Illinois. In this recall, the Constellation Brands Beer Division has recalled Corona Extra beer. Specifically, the company has voluntarily recalled 18 packs and 12 packs of Corona Extra. The recall was prompted over fears of glass particles in some of the beer.

According to reports, the defect affects around one out of every 5,000 bottles of beer. This is a very small percentage of the product sold on the market. However, the company is recalling all of the beer produced in this batch in order to avoid unnecessary injuries.

Consumers who have purchased this beer are urged to dispose of the product and contact the company for a refund. Individuals should check the bottles to determine whether or not they fit into the recalled categories.

A product recall can help to avoid accidents and injuries, in some cases. However, it is often too little too late for individuals who have been injured by hazardous consumer products. In those cases, products liability laws can help individuals recover financially as a result of an injury. Individuals should know their legal rights when they have been injured by a dangerous product.
