Aurora man killed in wrong-way car accident

It only takes a split-second for a car crash to occur that changes the lives of everyone involved forever. One family from Aurora recently had to experience such a tragedy when their loved one was killed in a wrong-way crash.

An Aurora man was identified as one of three people killed in a tragic accident in Naperville. The crash took place on Interstate 88 at approximately 1:00 in the morning. According to a witness who called 911, a Toyota Camry, driven by a 30-year-old man, was heading the correct way down westbound I-88 when it crashed into a wall, spun around and then headed down the interstate the wrong way. The Toyota Camry then collided head-on with a Chrysler 300 heading westbound.

There were two people inside the Chrysler when the crash occurred. Although the vehicle's airbags went off, neither of the Chrysler's occupants survived the crash. One of the occupants of the Chrysler was an Aurora man, age 32 and the other was a Naperville man, age 40. While investigators have stated that as of right now, there is no evidence that alcohol played a role in the crash, it is a factor that is still being investigated.

Tragedies, such as this, serve as grim reminders that no one is immune to a car accident. No matter how carefully and defensively one drives, there will be others out there who act negligently and cause car accidents that kill innocent people.

When this happens, it is important to hold negligent drivers accountable, and one way to do this is through a wrongful death lawsuit. Victims of car accidents or their families can pursue a lawsuit to seek compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages and more. While no amount of money can replace a loved one lost, it can help families make ends meet during a time of grief.
